Making the Most of your Membership

Your membership of the Chamber of Commerce gives you a range of benefits including discounted pricing for chamber events, the opportunity to stay connected with other businesses in town, and a say in decisions that affect us. We believe that by working together we can be a strong influence in our local community.

In addition, Bellingen Chamber of Commerce are affiliated with Business NSW. This means that if you are already a financial member of the Bellingen Chamber of Commerce, you can also become a member of Business NSW in their Local Chamber membership class.

Listed here are some of the benefits that you can access through that affiliation:

  • Unlimited calls to the Business Hotline (Call 13 26 96) – get information, support and advice for all your business questions
  • 3 calls per annum to the Advice Line (Call 13 29 59 for Workplace IR and HR issues)- get professional advice on your legal and Industrial relations issues. Simple queries will be answered in one call, or if more complex advice is required, an outline of how best to proceed will be given. Seek advice on wage rates, penalties and even how to calculate long service leave.
  • Savings with your energy – use the free Business Energy Comparison to compare your current energy deal to other energy offerings and if you choose to switch, Business NSW will handle all the paperwork
  • Human resources and business support – delivered by My Business; Unlimited Modern Award servicing (all 134 Awards across the nation) and a range of templates and tools online to help you grow your business
  • Events and webinars – you will have access to regular events and webinars on a variety of business topics
  • E-Newsletter – every week receive e-news directly to your inbox keeping you up to date and assisting you with running your business
  • Apprenticeship Support Australia – Business NSW can show you how to sign up an apprentice or trainee, including accessing funding and incentives from federal and state government that your business may be eligible for To access these benefits, you will need to opt in to become a member of Business NSW within the Local Chamber membership class. All you need to do is to email us at president@bellingehcamber.com.au and include the following statement. We’ll then set up your Business NSW membership. I agree to become a member of Business NSW (within the Local Chamber membership class) and be bound by the Business NSW constitution which is available here, the Business NSW Membership Terms and Conditions which are available here and the Business NSW Privacy Policy which is available here. Please note: If you are already a member of Business NSW in a membership class other than the Local Chamber membership class and would like to move to the Local Chamber membership class, then you must first resign your existing membership
